Store Setup

Opening a store on Bakal, signing in to the admin panel, adding your first product, choosing a theme and having your own domain connected.

Quick start

  1. On bakal.tr, click Mağazanı Oluştur (Create your store) and choose a plan. Enter your store name, your full name, your e-mail address and a password of at least 8 characters, or sign up with Google ile devam et. Your store address is made from the store name: bakal.tr/your-store.
  2. After signing up, the plan payment page opens. Your plan starts once the payment is confirmed.
  3. Sign in to the admin panel at bakal.tr/admin with the e-mail and password you signed up with, or with Google ile giriş yap.
  4. Create your categories under Katalog → Kategoriler → Kategori Oluştur.
  5. Add a product under Katalog → Ürünler → Ürün Oluştur. Choose the product type, attribute family and SKU, then fill in the name, description, price, images and stock in the form and save it with Ürünü Kaydet.
  6. For the product to be listed on your storefront, switch on Durum (status) and Tek Tek Görünür (visible individually), assign at least one category and check that your store is ticked under Kanallar (channels).
  7. Set up payment and shipping: virtual POS setup and shipping fees.

Connecting your own domain

Your store is live at bakal.tr/your-store as soon as it opens. Connecting your own domain (for example yourstore.com) is currently done together with our support team:

  1. Make sure you own the domain and can change its DNS settings.
  2. Send us your store address and the domain through the contact form. We will tell you which DNS change to make.
  3. Once connected, your store opens on your own domain, and search engines are told that your domain is the main address.

Do not change the Ana Bilgisayar Adı (hostname) field under Ayarlar → Kanallar yourself. If it changes before the domain is ready, your store's links and the address given to search engines point at a domain that does not work yet.

Themes and storefront content

  1. Preview the themes live at bakal.tr/temalar.
  2. In the panel, open your store's channel from Ayarlar → Kanallar. On the Kanalı Düzenle screen, choose a theme in the Tema field and save. Your choice is kept.
  3. Edit storefront sections such as the home page image, menu, announcement and FAQ under CMS → Tema İçerikleri. The screen lists the sections your theme uses; a section you leave empty shows the theme's sample text.
